On-roof installation usually means that the PV panels are being installed parallel to the roof with a certain distance to the roofing. The installation is made possible by a substructure of profiles on whicht the PV panels are being fastened by so called module clamps.
The rail, or profile structure is either attached into the roof cover or attached to the roof substructure (wood, concrete or steel) by roof hooks, solar fasteners or hanger bolts.
If the roof pitch is too low for an optimum yield, the inclination of the PV panels can be optimized through additional measures.
In-roof installation or integrated PV mounting means, that the PV modules are being installed approx. at the same height as the roof cladding. This is possible by a substructure which replaces the roof cladding. The mounting solution is being attached / fixed into the roof substructure.
A differentiatior in PV mounting is defined by the rain water drain. Some systems use an appropriate substrucutre unter the PV modules, in other cases the rain water runs-off over the PV-panels.
An integrated PV mounting solution for PV is favored in case of a roof refurbishment or reconstruction, as the corresponding roof cladding area is replaced by PV modules and the mounting system.
PV mounting system for roof-integrated solar systems in pitched roofs. The roof cladding / roofing is replaced by resistant HDPE panels, over these the rainwater runs-off.
The HDPE panels are fixed to the rafters. A rail system serves as a carrier for the PV modules. PV panels can be installed vertically and horizontally.
Further Information about the ISSE PV Mounting system:
For flat roof installations PV modules are being positioned and fixed by a mounting system on a flat roof. The fixation is either done mechanically into the roof substructure or by a mounting solution with suitable ballast, this supports the PV system withstanding occuring wind loads.
In the flat roof area of mounting solutions there are detached and linked systems. Detached means, that PV module can be individually positioned and aligned. With linked mounting solutions the PV modules are either positoinied and interconnected in fields or rows.
The mounting system CS + is a tub made of plastic. The system is suitable for the installation of PV modules on flat roofs and conversion sites. Elevation occurs without penetrating the surface just by adding the corresponding ballast into the tub.
Since the plastic tubs are not interconnected, each PV module can be positionied individually and perfectly arranged.
