Another Year, Another Renusol Round-Up

What a year it has been! Despite the pandemic continuing to impact the whole industry, Renusol has had another successful year with numerous achievements, certifications and developments taking place over the last 12 months.

From the whole team, we would like to say a huge thank you to our loyal customers and partners for choosing Renusol this year and look forward to working closely with them all in 2022.

All-new certifications

Throughout 2021, we have continued to work towards the ‘SOLID’ aspect of our company ethos by obtaining all the necessary certifications for our PV mounting solutions.

In April, we received the ETN certification for our VS+ mounting systems, obtained through esteemed industry body Alpes Controles. This certification means that a broad selection of components from the product range is fully compliant and certified for solar projects of all shapes and sizes in France.

Insurers, investors and end-users in France can have greater confidence in our solutions as this certification has bolstered the ‘solid’ aspect of our ethos.

And in October, our full MS+ range (including the MS+H and MS+P) also received the ETN certification. We worked closely with renowned certification institute Sud-Est Prevention, achieving the accreditation in collaboration with specific modules from global manufacturers including AEG, Bourgeois Global, DMEGC, Hyundai, Longi Solar, Qcells, Sunpower and Trina Solar.

What’s more, we obtained a new fire-testing certification that cover a more comprehensive range of JA Solar’s modules, now including the JAM series as well as the previously fire-certified JAP module range.

An upgraded warranty  

In July, Renusol announced that we would be offering an extended 20-year warranty on every component used in systems designed using our PV-Configurator 3.0 tool. The 20-year warranty mirrors Renusol’s 20-year dedication to the solar industry, during which time we have provided high-quality, solid and reliable PV mounting solutions to customers all over the world.

Using our state-of-the-art PV-Configurator 3.0 software, installers can confidently design systems that they know will last using high-quality products. And now, our customers can put their complete faith in Renusol with our outstanding extended warranty.

What else is new?

In alignment with the ‘SIMPLE’ prong of our company motto, we collaborated with SMA to unite our PV-Configurator 3.0 with SMA’s Sunny Design planning tool. Through this collaboration, installers can now access vast amounts of module data for over 100,000 different PV modules — saving customers from manually inputting data more than once and saving valuable time and preventing transfer errors.

By uniting these two planning tools, we have simplified our customers’ planning process and have facilitated accurate PV mounting system design. We have optimised the software’s workflow as customers can now design a system from start to finish without lifting data from one tool into another.

In May, we welcomed Cristian Torres into the Renusol team as a Key Account Manager. As anticipated, Cristian has been an asset to Renusol, and we are very much looking forward to everything he has to offer in 2022.

And finally, we launched a new roof hook for the UK into the Renusol product portfolio earlier in 2021, too. This new product was designed to offer an enhanced load capacity thanks to the hook’s thicker arm. What’s more, the hook was manufactured using stronger steel — S460 instead of S355. As a result, these alterations mean the hook can withstand higher loads, specifically 130% more for wind loads, 112% mire for self-weight and snow loads, and 53% more capacity for combined loads.
